If you’ve experienced a quiet revelation that you’re not quite ready to let others know about, then don’t worry. You can still write an insight and choose not to share it with others. Here’s how:

Once you write down your insight in the text field, you’ll notice that the green ‘Respond’ button that you normally use to post an answer now says ‘Share’. Despite the name change, this button still has the same function of posting your answer (which, in this case, is your insight). So, click the ‘Share’ button or press ‘Enter’ to continue as you normally would.

When you do this a pop-up window will appear to confirm whether you would like to share this insight. If you do, then press the green ‘Share insight’ button.

If you don’t want to share this insight, though, then press the ‘Cancel’ button. This will stop the insight being posted, but the insight will still be in your cog worksheet.
